I was taught Maths by Captain Birdseye. I have 16 fingers. They're orange and taste funny.

Teacher wins three-year battle to clear name after publishing racy novel about students’ fantasies

As the Mail could have learned from the teacher in question, this is distortion and innuendo.

No comments yet on this pc-gorn-mad dogwhistle.

Boy, 7, branded a racist for asking schoolmate: 'Are you brown because you come from Africa?'

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... frica.html

However it does come with the amusing (to me at least) compensation of the school's name, "Griffin Primary School".

I am a black woman with a white partner and mostly white friends. Every single one of my white friends kids and my partners nephews have got o an age where they notice my skin and ask, it is not racist it is part of the fantastic thing called childhood inquisitiveness. This sort of behaviour is actually making life so much harder for ethnic minorities. If blacks are not offended why are stupid lefties, who obviously know nothing about common sense. The school should be ashamed of themselves and they seem to be the ones who are being racist as they are the ones who are perpetuating the differences by making the poor lad sign to say he is a racist.

"If blacks are not offended." Apart from the "blacks" who made the original complaint, of course.

It's all context anyway - asking a question doesn't automatically make it OK - I remember kids at school deliberately asking questions in a mocking/bullying way.

Does the phrase "stupid lefties" exist outside of the Daily Mail / Guardian comments sections? I've never heard it said in real life, perhaps I need to broaden my social circle.

I wonder if Annie actually is who she says she is.

Come on DM. How much is it worth? It isn't described as "immaculate", so it can't be a council house.

Soaring numbers of teachers retire early to cash in on pensions

Thankfullly, all of these have been red-arrowed:

Teachers , the most over rated over paid members of society , each and every one of them own homes cars and appear to retain a good standing in the community for 'working' 7 hour days and multiple mini holiday + 3 months holiday per annum .

So glad to hear the teachers are running away from their responsibilities , lets hope amongst the 'pensioners' are include the surge in female 'teachers' who like to doze off with 2 or perhaps 3 under-age male students while they break the Law and grind the afternoon or early evening away from peering eyes .

I'm fed up of people in this country complaining about everything. Teachers - If you can't stand the heat. Get out of the kitchen, no one ask you to be there! Where I come from we appreciate having a job and we get on with it.

Funny how the truth gets you lots of RED arrows, well have a go at this. Work six weeks the have a holiday, do this through the year and then in the summer have a six week holiday. The only people I know who have more time off are MP's and the dead. Teaching is a hobby not a proper job

One of the least attractive things about dying is that I won't get any time off. Not even for good behaviour.

With many schools facing sharp cuts in their budgets over the next couple of years a number of teachers may well have been offered inducements to retire early because it is cheaper to do that than make staff redundant.

Faced with the prospects of teaching bigger classes and more lessons and getting less support some older teachers may have decide to put their health and sanity before financial security.

The other angle the Mail has ignored is that the rise in the number of teachers taking early retirement actually signals a vote of no confidence in the current secretary of state for Education.

Bitter and twisted, or adolescent fantasist dreaming of such an encounter with Miss Broadchest during detention? Or just a cunt?

I think the last choice sums it up pretty well.
