Time for a new thread. This lady can start the ball rolling:

Christianity under attack: Anger as major court rulings go against British worshippers

Quote:
There is a very real reason why all group activities should start by asking for a guidance and blessing from a Higher Source - whether that is tied to a religion or not. The metaphysical truth is that the group activities generate an energy, and it is important that this is kept positive - or else, as some dictators have found, they generate a level of subtle mass hypnosis. There is a very real energy generated in crowds - and in the States I understand that they pray before big football games for the very reason that it is important to keep people safe. For the same reason, it is in everyone's best interest to have a short prayer or period of quiet before starting work. Why do you think the Japanese companies are so successfull? They start the day with a process that tunes people up spiritually, and when people are spiritually tuned up, they are more able to think clearly and creatively and DO A BETTER JOB. So did Steve Jobs.

- wisewoman, Abadiania & London, 11/2/2012 02:37

A very real energy, of the kind that is not located anywhere on the electromagnetic spectrum and has yet to be identified by science. No doubt this wisewoman can locate it by examining your chakras via your anus. She can probably tell you if it is blue or orange (the energy, not your bumhole), what with being an authority on metaphysics.

People pray before sports events in the USA to stay safe? Hmm. Really. Isn't it just for the usual reasons that people pray conspicuously? i.e. to be certain that you have been seen doing it?

Tuned-up Japanese people? Wtf?

Especially liked the segue from doing a good job to Steve Jobs. Wow, that's deep, they like, have the word 'job' in them. It means something. Om.

Brazil it would seem.

No idea, but I seem to recall the Wise Woman's London residence is at Putney.

Or at least, that's where Blackadder had to go to visit her that time.

'"Yes it is", not "that it be".' has always been one of my favourite Blackadder lines.

These comments could go into a number of threads - spelling, Mailite compassion, etc. Anyway, what a bunch of fucknuggets.

'Forest Boy is a fantasist': British teenager who said he lived in German woodland 'made it all up'

He is a teenager.

I'm not surprised that no one will claim him. What an idiot.

Either not noticing or not caring about the part of the article that mentions concerns over his mental health. He is being cared for as a vulnerable child.

Stand him next to a war memorial - if he urinates on it then yes indeed he is a British teenager.

Because all British kids piss on memorials.

Just throw him back., he'll soon start swimming!

Let him die of exposure. Feel the love.

A heck of a lot of batshit comments there, pretty much every third one is bonkers.

Revealed: How atheist Richard Dawkins' family fortune came from the slave trade

After Gove, the Heil trots out a smear campaign. It is perecuted Christian week though, so you know...

A confused soul writes:

Quote:
Someone presents an argument against "popular" belief, and they are immediately attacked with every possible scandal by the media and PC brigade. To dig up information from 250 years ago demonstrates how weak your argument really is. Richard Dawkins had no control over his ancestors and does not necessarily agree with what they did. It seems that left wing will go to any level to impose their opinions on the rest of us. Dr. David Starkey is another example of left wing head hunting. I personally fully support their opinions, no matter what slurs or rumours you wish to promote against them.

- Steady, England, 19/2/2012 14:30

The PC brigade have it in for Dawkins? I thought the problem was that he is their poster-boy?

I like the idea that the left head-hunted David Starkey. He was offered his own platoon in the PC brigade, with a nice office at divisional headquarters. He apparently refused because the pay for being an obnoxious, hate-filled twat is much higher.

Regrettably Left wingers have already infiltrated our council offices etc etc so will continue to stop any movement in this direction, they believe the British are responsible for all the worlds troubles. It's a well known fact among Domestic appliance service people that in many parts of the country there are lot's who can't/won't speak English, even having to keep children at home in order to give instructions etc. Some never had any intention of learning the language of their adopted country. Integration !? forget it.

- Mike, Harlow. Essex., 21/2/2012 7:10

Mike takes the 'small horizons lead to small minds' hypothesis out for a spin. This from the Eric Pickles rubbish.

Hooray! At last! there are some human values regardless of racial origin that we must all share if we are to live in a tiny island which is so heavily populated. When rabbit warrens get overcrowded, mother rabbits reabsorb the fetus - and since human beings are unable to do that, the least we can do is to be more tolerant and pull together in a way which is downright sensible. When I am in another country, do they translate every official document? Of course they don't! They rather curtly suggest that i get a friend to translate for me. As for religion - I am of the belief that there is one God and many paths - so let's just get on with it!

Don't tell the Republican candidates, or we'll see a new wave of attack ads against rabbits.
