There's a place near me called Cheryl's Coal. They use her picture and all. Or they did, no idea if they've had a legal banhammering yet.

There's a comic book store in Swindon called Swin City. But that loses points for actually being quite witty.

"Downton races".

Jeez, that's a crap pun. I now have a mental image of women in Edwardian dresses dancing like buffoons while sinking into a pit of quicksand.

With any luck it'll be the producer.

What makes the most stupid, being a Mailtard or watching Downturn Abbey (or ITV in general)?

Only two comments on there essentially saying the same thing.

I am surprised to hear that about Maggie Smith
- ian, london, 07/4/2012 12:20

Quote:
Think the comments about Dame Maggie were very unprofessional of Ms Eaton, what goes on the set should stay on the set. In my opinion Dame Maggie Smith is our greatest living actress and I have never seen better act on stage. Whatever she does TV, Stage or Film she always gives 100% to her art and never ever courts publicity. When did you last see her interviewed on TV?? Rare in this age. Other actors admire her professionalism and her wicked sense of humour. Shut up Ms Eaton!!
- Gman, Leicestershire, 07/4/2012 10:09

This is the bit of the text they're referring to.
Quote:
She said: 'Maggie Smith is a handful, it's true. She's very difficult. She knows her worth, and she's tricky on the set, but she delivers when the time comes.'

Viewers can expect sparks between Dame Maggie's character and new arrival Martha Levinson, Countess Crawley's mother played by Hollywood legend Shirley MacLaine.
She said: 'There are some wonderful scenes between Maggie and Shirley MacLaine - Shirley MacLaine being ditsy as ever.
'And Maggie barely restraining her sneer in having to deal with this American.'

Now it's patently obvious that this Eaton person is discussing the characters in the last bit, NOT the real life actors. *Face palm!*

Still, I should give them some credit for actually reading the article in full (not that it's very long).
