That's true enough. She probably thinks I'm a PLU, or at least sees me as one, but... I'm not. And it does honestly worry me on some level as to how she'll react in future. It's not hit me yet, but one day it'll hit me hard.

I have the same problem with my Grandparents, who rant about shops and hospitals being taken over by "darkies" . I just switch off, perhaps not the right thing to do, but they are my Grandparents, its a tricky one.
