I was confused by the the lack of punctuation and grammar and read it one of two ways.

Maybe I haven't read the article properly but I understood that this woman is white.

It's all very confusing (read: total bullshit) in the ShiteRag story. The stories been edited I think, from her being "Middle Eastern or African" to two mentions of her being "white".

The BBC local news managed to cover the story without making reference to her racial origins (or her clothing for that matter), how odd that the Mail couldn't do the same.

Why is this so low down on the news?

If someone allegedly had a bomb and was in a stand off with armed police anywhere inside the M25 it would be all over the rolling news. This isn't even (or wasn't last time I looked) on the front page of BBC news, you have to click onto 'England' to see it.

Anyway, rumours are (and this is supported by a photo I saw on twitter that I now can't find) that she's not a muslim. She's a local white woman. Not that muslims can't be white obviously.

Just heard that she's been detained under the Mental Health Act, there was no bomb.

And yes Bails, she was white.

I hate saying "she's not muslim, she's white" or even making a point of her skin colour, but so many people on twitter were assuming she was a muslim suicide bomber. Or that she was wearing a burka/niqab/hijab so she was a muslim suicide bomber. Or she was a "p*ki" so she was a muslim suicide bomber.

Anyway, I'm glad it's all been brought to a safe conclusion.

The report on the local 10 O'clock news says that the woman has been known to the local mental health services for many years, so it seems quite possible that she may not know the reason she did it either. I wonder if it makes any difference to Vicky that the woman was white?

About a decade back I took my Nephew (aged 12) to B&Q.
His favourite entertainment at the time was Martial arts films, especially Ninjas.
His favourite part of B&Q was the gardening department.
