I would guess it's the DM making life hard for TransMediaWatch, who basically stuck two fingers up at Dacre's Acres during the Leveson enquiry.

As for mikeman's point; Yes, she does want medical help, just not in the way you think she does.

On topic, it is pretty hard to look feminine, and it does seem like a good idea for trans women to do that little bit extra. But the comments as always are.... Top comment:

How about some bollocks comment about how they're still men and they can't change it? I can tell you want to

I dunno, the second one's a far more convincing woman than some born females I've seen. And better at doing eye make-up. But then I'm from Anglesey.

Booted out for being born a boy: Transgender beauty queen kicked out of Miss Universe

DM gets its pronouns right, but fucks up everywhere else:
Quote:
A beauty pageant has booted a contestant out the competition after discovering the buxom blonde was born a boy.

The Miss Universe Canada organizers threw out Jenna Talackova when they found out she had undergone surgery to become a woman.

Comments are their usual mix.

She reminds me of Princess Di, who looked like a teenage boy in a dress.

This one loses points for assuming her sexuality, but otherwise works:
Quote:
Dear Jenna: you are beautiful, young and have showed determination and constance, fighting to become what you always feel you were. Forget the stale world of beauty contests, the silly interviews conducted by ridiculous journalists dressed in ill fitting shirts, the photoshoots in bikini and a career as glamour model; jealous females and male chauvinist men are going always to disqualify you. Instead, go to college, become a doctor, a lawyer, a scientist, a mathematician; you will be judged by your work, the passing of the years will not take away neither your knowledge nor the prestige you have gained for your talent. Find a partner who loves you and whom you love and build with him a life together. I whish you luck and happiness.

Convincing transgenders are known as "traps" in the event of having sex with an unsuspecting male.

I was under the impression that 'trap' simply referred to a convincing pre-op/non-op transwoman, with a famous image being of a Japanese (I believe) person in a swimsuit with a rather obvious bulge showing.

But it's also a reference to Admiral Ackbar's exclamation in Star Wars VI: Return of the Jedi, where he shouts (perhaps obviously) "It's a trap!" upon discovering the Sith forces have lured them into combat above the Forest Moon of Endor and the second (and incomplete) Death Star.

That comment from Anne was posted at 12.57 BST, I looked at the World Clock, the server may be located in North America, possibly Los Angeles.

This was my understanding too, i.e. "traps" are males who could easily pass themselves off as female and do so with the intention of fooling another male.

Could very well be, we know how easily meanings change depending on context. I thought it was a general thing, but going by some research it's more of a sexual element and the term "trap" seems to have a larger link to Japanese culture (anime, manga, etc) than Western.

Mind you, some of them are jealousy-inspiring. Cows. :x

Daily Scumfilled Shitehole continues to poke its nose in cupboards and under beds to bring this Oh So Important gem.

Revealed: Transgender Miss Canada Universe hopeful is a Grade 8 boy called Walter (she even triggered suspicion amongst classmates for her looks and behaviour then)
  • Transgender beauty contestant who has caused international headlines was a boy called Walter Page Talackova

  • Set to speak publicly about the saga in an exclusive interview with ABC journalist Barbara Walters

  • Classmate says: 'It wasn't like she looked like a boy, but acted like a girl. She very much looked like a female'

Quote:
The first picture of the transsexual beauty queen who made international headlines after her dismissal and subsequent reinstatement from Miss Universe Canada has emerged - and she's a 13-year-old boy called Walter.

Pictured with a blonde bob as a Grade eight student at Vancouver's Killarney secondary school, Jenna Talackova, 23, was then known as Walter Page Talackova.

Jenna, who learned this week she is now eligible to compete in the Miss Universe Canada pageant after originally being thrown out last month for being born a boy, made international headlines after it was revealed she lied about her natural gender on her application form.
