Lifting a fully filled wheely bin 6 inches seems like it would be quite dangerous for the back. Meh.

Surely you would only have to get it down fully laden and return it (lifting) when empty.

Town halls still defying Pickles on return of weekly bin rounds

This article is currently unmoderated. You might choose to quote this fantastic feeder line with your own suggestions as to just how big Eric is -

You green wreckers! Garish recycling bags ruin the beauty of our Cornish holiday idyll, say Richard and Judy

They were attracted by the rugged coastlines and the unspoilt Cornish countryside.

But Richard Madeley has complained that the environment around his idyllic holiday home is being ruined – by recycling.

The television presenter says rules near his country home that force residents to separate their waste into six categories mean the picturesque lanes are littered with 'awful' multi-coloured recycling bags.

The Mail has long highlighted the way town halls have blighted streets and gardens with wheelie bins, with the Not In My Front Yard and Great Bin Revolt campaigns.

Madeley, 56, who with wife Judy Finnigan divides his time between the countryside property and a home in north London, said he cared passionately for Cornwall and that the new rubbish scheme has made him 'furious'.

The former This Morning host said: 'Aside from all the problems with the collections, which have been well publicised, it is really awful to see all these coloured bags and boxes littering our countryside. It is a disgrace and I'm furious that this has been allowed to happen.'

Nothing too bright Richard, how about something utterly bland and beige, like your work.
These people need to shut the fuck up.

This isn't something I'm often heard to say, but fuck off back where you came from then Richard.

I just wonder how stupid a person would have to be to advertise to the world that they have a second home in Cornwall which is empty for most of the year? Why doesn't the paper just publish the post code to make it even easier for a burglar to find?

They wouldn't dare break in and nick Richard's stuff - they'd be done for handling stolen goods.

Boom boom.

I do have a tiny bit of sympathy for Richard, if their empty wine bottles are only collected once a fortnight the bottle bin must be well and truly overflowing by the time it is emptied.

Recycling is all very well, but it has driven the Wombles to the brink of extinction.

Why no pictures of the offending bags? Plenty of snaps of the two complainers. Is this a puplicity article? Are they short of cash?

Just how unspoilt is his beloved Cornish countryside going to be if everything gets chucked in landfill or incinerated?
