Pretty sure Johnson was pleading for the rest of the country to hand its water over to the south-east fairly recently, as well. I've got two words for you, Boris, and the second one is 'off'.

"mess we inherited" again from Johnson.

He's shit when he can't charm his way out of it.

Not really. He just said it again.

I find Boris' argument that he gets more funding from central government for police etc than other areas of the country because his friends run it particularly abhorrent.

Paddick's all right.

It's a shame he's running for mayor instead of working for the police.

Good opening line from the BNP candidate's vox-pop.

"The main thing is to set London alight".

I'll bet.

Ukip seem to be basing their campaign on allowing a parking free-for-all throughout London.

Frank Maloney (who stood for them once before) wanted no congestion charge or speed bumps either.

Interesting tactic from the BNP in putting up a Spanish candidate for mayor. Well, I suppose at least he isn't black.

Correction. Apparently, Carlos Cortiglia is from Uruguay:

They've got a Jewish councillor in Epping who they're very proud of.

They sound almost politically correct when they talk about her.

They've lost their other 5 councillors, hopefully she'll be on her way too. Think she's up for election this year.
