Quite spectacular use of the word there, I must say.

I'd personally pay good money to see Express commentators getting a good sjambokking.

Insert piss dungeon reference below.

I wouldn't piss dungeon them, even if they were getting a necklacing.

Incredible. Hosepipe ban in driest areas. Maybe they should ban them in wet areas too out of political correctness.

The crassness of calling this "apartheid" is unbelievable. Or it should be.

This area with shortages of water- we're planning to make sure the people from the wet bits don't have to move their to find work, right?

He had one of those disconcerting moments of being sensible today. I'd incautiously put on the radio before getting into the shower and was cursing because it was Ferrari whittering on about the Falklands and I couldn't get to the radio to change the channel. Then this fool came on going on about how everyone welcomed Our Boys back waving Union Jacks, and began a moan about how no-one would do that today for fear of getting arrested by the PC Brigade. I was stunned to hear Ferrari cut him off very smartly and point out how, with the Jubilee and Olympics and all, the shops are packed out with Union Jacks, we won't be able to move shortly for people waving them like mad things, blatantly no-one is going to get arrested. It's not often I'm actually cheering Ferrari on.

Yes, because if there's one thing I've noticed recently it's the lack of support for Our Boys.

Seems sensible.

But I think we should engineer as much infrastructure as possible to benefit people in that area at the expense of everyone else to make it harder and harder for anyone to work anywhere else.

Yeah. 'Cos it would be ludicrous to concentrate resources on the areas of highest population, wouldn't it?

Listening to Classic FM yesterday for the first time in a while. I'd gone to internet radio for classical music as Classic FM was getting too insufferably smug and pompous. Anyway, in the kitchen and nothing on the talking stations so I popped it on. Some nice music played then a new jingle, more pompous and overblown than the old ones. Sounded like the Queen was about to grace my kitchen with her magestic presence. Then some advert for 'We buy any car.com!' with a ravey bass line and an animated chav type shrieking at me. Then another triumphant jingle. I reached for the off button, feeling overloaded with cloying middle class up-our-own-arseness. Just as my hands reached the radio John Suchet, or whoever, chirped up to announce a forthcoming interview - turns out Nick Ferrari now works for Classic FM.

Fuck that. Radio 3 it is.

Yeah, as if John Suchet wasn't bad enough, the oleaginous prick.

Without prejudice, all of the presenters are toffee-nosed cunts, your honour.

You can actually hear some of them glowering imperiously down their stuck up nose as they introduce the weather. I enjoy it when they have adverts which don't fit with their image though. You get a Waitrose one and a Marks & Spencers food porn one and then from nowhere some guy called Barry from Hull starts bellowing monosyllabically about chipped windscreens, followed by an insufferably po-faced jingle triumphantly announcing the arrival of David Mellor's carriage.
