The comments are truly horrible. I wonder how some people can live with themselves.

I really can'y be arsed to read the article again but it appears this is the second time he has done this as there is a reference to a previously unpaid fare.

They're getting a bit of a kicking in the comments.

This should be cross-referenced into the "Compassion..." thread. They're out in force today.

And miracle cures

"Proven"? That is ridiculous, who says taking a kid to see dolphins will cure it of anything? That comment should be reported to someone.

I understand a desperate parent's need to find something that might help their child, but am way more pissed off by the mail making ridiculous claims about a wishy washy unproven animal therapy, just to add an element of "there was a cure, if only the airline had acted better - what barstards!" to the story.

Great adverstisment for any dolphinarium offering this "service", really great.

That's now been pointed out in the [mostly batshit insane] comments. In Turkey the custom is to have a cupboard just inside the doorway to store any temporarily unwanted footwear.

Mind, note the top-rated comment is the one that gets a bit of gratuitous racism in:
Quote:
Which is why sensible people have a shoe rack just inside the door to store outdoor footwear. The only hazard risk is then to the people living inthe property. He was lucky to get them back. In my neighbourhood they would have been stolen. What's the point of telling his story to the papers? The council did the right thing, and he is living in the UK now not Turkey. And WHY is anyone from Turkey entitled to a council property in the UK? Turkey is not in the EU.

PS I also have to remove my shoes in my flat because I am a devout atheist.

Special flights with medical treatment are expensive that's why people get travel insurance, wasn't the £15,000 they raised to pay for such things, who else do they expect to pay for it?

'Toxic bracelet ruined my life': Woman sectioned after suffering hallucinations and abscesses caused by jewellery

I would have thought a GP would have referred her to a specialist fairly quickly if her reaction was as bad has she claims.

As a few people point out in the comments if the bracelet really is so toxic why has she still got it in the house?

Quite. And she and her doctor must have been pretty slow on the uptake not to see what was happening.

The first line of the article is very interesting:

Quote:
A 40-year-old British woman blames a 'toxic' bracelet she bought on eBay for ruining her life

Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... z1sRO05d36

Why does an article in a British newspaper need to start off by stating that the subject of the story is British? I'm guessing the story has been lifted from a overseas publication or press release.

Remember that the majority of Mail Online hits now come from the USA.

They've had a few stories recently of people being told off by the council for leaving things like door mats, pictures and plants in communal areas. Every time, the comments columns have been full of Mailites spluttering about council jobsworths. In Mr Kurulay's case, they're all in favour of the council. What could the difference possibly be?

One of the best rated comments is 'religious reasons should not be a defence nowadays' or similar with pushing 1000 greens.

Now what if I were to post the same comment on the story 'white, off duty paramedic refuses to give CPR because he's Christian and the victim had a heart attack on a Sunday.'
