It seems our heroine has been acting strangely again. Following her 'posh boys' accusations she was slated for a treasury question in the House today, but oddly she didn't show, and the question wasn't asked...

Simon Hoggart explores the story...

Me also, I've started cutting myself to reduce the anguish.

I've said it before but it's my belief that the cabinet know that the game's up come 2015 and their political careers will be over. They are making alternative plans, probably running whatever privatised shambles replaces our welfare state. The backbenchers who have their hearts set on long careers in politics must be wondering what damage is being done to their futures by their association with this diabolical government. They still have seats to retain in 2015.

I think you're exactly right. The cabinet are just in a rush to smash everything up, asset strip, and steal as much from the poor as they can for them and their pals before their time runs out. I doubt they even give a shit what happens to the Tory Party after that. It'll have served its purpose.

I really liked the term "Trolley dash" that another poster used in a different thread.
Who was it, was it original, or did a journo pick it first.
I'd really like to use it in wider communications, but would like to know its origin.

I've never been able to take the idea of Boris as Tory leader/PM seriously. It was hard enough to accept that he was the Mayor of London.

I'd imagine any decently competent party leader would dismember his "avvin a larf" persona at hustings.

It may go down well on the busses, or opening a new youth club.
It's not going to wash at the Cenotaph, or at the site of any domestic tragedy.

I agree - trolley dash is spot on. They do remind me somewhat as well though, of burglars who trash the place, write 'CUNT' on the wall and take a shit on the living room carpet before they leg it.

Umm that was me. I think it was an original thought but my middle-age amnesia means I can't be 100% sure.

Now what did I come into this room for.....

Quote:
Mad Nad doesn’t just go for posh boys, though. During the 2010 election, she cast doubt over her Labour opponent’s claims that he had served in Iraq. “Did he go out in the danger zones,” she asked of David Reeves, “and risk his life and limb side by side with our soldiers, for the sake of freedom and democracy? The values for which he claims to have 'fought in Iraq’. I will be interested to find out the answer. Claiming to be a hero… is a very big claim indeed… let’s hope it’s true.”
It was. Mr Reeves had been stationed in Basra between June 2003 and January 2004, flying on surveillance missions in Nimrod aircraft and patrolling the southern Iraq city. On one occasion, he was attacked by a mob. It may be true that Cameron and Osborne are not completely au fait with all sections of society, but at least they’re not living on another planet entirely.

Careful now, he's back, and looks as though he'd like to shit on your employment rights and minimum wage.

Amazing how someone as useless and weak as Nad can suddenly be taken up to serve Dacre's agenda...

Gideon was having a slap at her on Andrew Marr's show this morning - reckoning that she doesn't approve of most things the party does, she's been hammering on about gay marriage, Lords reform and the same narrow agenda for seven years, and basically implying that they just leave her to her own little planet and view her with contempt.

She's just Teresa Gorman for a new generation.

Which begs the question, who's Redwood, and who's silly blazer man?
