Perhaps this is why so much money over the last decade was ear-marked and spent on refurbishment of schools, hospitals and other public buildings. With the cuts, problems and urgent works like this will be ignored and allowed to build up leaving even more public spending to be undertake by future administrations. What's wrong with the parents organising a working party to sort the school out? It has 800 pupils so if everyone put in £10.00 and let's face it; that's not much! It could at least be dried out and maybe someone could fix the roof.. and the peeling walls would need a bit of work; but how many times have you heard someone say ' They ought to do something about that!"
