Roger Knapman joined UKIP and became their leader. He managed to turn Stroud Labour, so he must have been pretty bad. Amazingly they held it to 2010, and only lost by 1,299 then. Their lefty Labour MP, David Drew, is having another crack in 2015...

The perpetually thirsty Naraglefargle has given an interview to the BBC, bui it reads like it was just after the wine tasting...

He speaks of the recent election in Greece:

Quote:
"This now poses huge dangers to the continent. We face the prospect of mass civil unrest, possibly even revolution in some countries that are being driven in to total and utter desperation...

"In Greece what we saw last Sunday was rather reminiscent of the German election of 1932. We saw the status-quo centre collapse and the extremes of Right and Left rise.

"This project could even cause the rebirth of National Socialism in Europe. We are headed the wrong way.

"We must break up the eurozone. We must set those Mediterranean countries free."

You can hear the rising note, the harsh guttural coarseness, see the spittle flecking the corners of his mouth...

"Bugger me," he then said, "I'm as shitfaced as a Belgian inna brasserie. Somebody give me a fag. And another bottle of that Chateau Monkeyville... Oy! Emmett! I fuckin' love you I do, you're my bes' mate...."

I think that's actually a very good description of him. His mind is clearly independent from rational thought processes. Has he shown anyone his magic disease-curing box yet?

Instead of protesting against 'austerity' the people of the euro zone should be protesting against their economic prison

He's been to another wine-tasting, hasn't he?

You can't smoke wine. You can smoke kippers (and I assume UKIPpers by association), but not wine.

Oh dear.

I was referring to the fact that he is reported to like a drink or three. He smokes ordinary fags only. He's that sort of bloke.

Watching "Man vs Food" on Dave just now. It's sort of obscene.

Does just what it says on the tin. Murrikan man eats absurd quantities of food, most of which seems to be ten pound sandwiches containing every kind of meat, cheese, and sauce you can think of. With lettuce and tomato.

They don't show him vomiting himself unconscious afterwards, but he must be doing it.

Quite, quite strange.
