I am very pleased you have published this article.
The BBC "ignorati" (my word I think) have always hated Lady Thatcher.
I cannot, at the end of the day see the rationale for this stance, as she was without a shred of a doubt the greatest Prime Minister so far in my lifetime.
I worked for the BBC from 81-83.
I will not go into the Falklands campaign here but their main gripe at the time was the closing down of world service studios around the world.
Posters where pinned on almost every BBC owned building noticeboard, in particular Kensington House, that shouted out - "stop the Thatcher axe"

Inventing a word doesn't mean you're right. And since the government decides BBC funding, it's not unreasonable for people at the BBC to blame the government of the day for cuts.

Mrs Thatcher might not use swear words, but great swathes of this country use swearwords when Mrs Thatcher's name is mentioned. If we are all Thatcher's children then it is a great pity many of us weren't taken into care before she inflicted the damage on us that many are still suffering from. It always astounds me when people like Stephen Glover express amazement that she is so reviled in much of this nation. If you think the BBC demonises her, then take a trip from the sheltered leafy groves of the Home Counties and into Wales, the North or Scotland, mention her in conversations and you will hear some real demonising.

I think Andrew, Olney is one of us? The mods seem quite generous today...
