Why I'm calling a truce on my war with Baroness Warsi

Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/artic ... z1w6Wu8UGS

Kelvin has probably picked a bad time to call a truce with Warsi.

I'm sure the highest-rated comments are inspired by nothing more than a dislike of her politics.

That's a tough one, isn't it, because she's also a useless shit. But by saying so you are semi-aligning with the racists and misogynists. A case where my enemy's enemy is not my friend.

The references to 'indigenous tax payers' and 'PC garbage' probably give an idea about where the commentators are coming from and none of her critics talk about her odious beliefs and appalling performances on TV.

Kelvin has dug himself into a bit of a hole because he has devoted loads of article to attacking Labour's Baroness Uddin over her expenses claim so if he ignores Warsi's indiscretions he will be seen to partisan and inconsistent, but if he does attack Warsi he could be accused of only picking on women from ethnic minorities.

It's a glib response, but since when has his being partisan and inconsistent caused him a problem?
I think he will be able to ignore Warsi's foibles just as easily as Mensch (who is rapidly becoming a mirror to McKenzie).

But he makes for 'good telly', in that he sticks in the mind (or throat) and gives people something to talk about. So he keeps getting invited back.

See also Peter Hitchens, especially on Radio, where he gets wheeled on as 'old duffer, doesn't like this modern malarkey' on subjects he clearly has no interest in or understanding of, save for the fact he's getting a cheque for his appearance.

Kelvin seems to be taking a leaf out of Cameron's book by only appearing on day time TV where he gets an easy ride, the last few times he's appeared on Skynews reviewing the papers he's had to share the sofa with Bonnie Greer or a journalist from the Guardian and he was pretty piss poor.

A regular on the Titty Titschmarsh show. Safe and cosy.

Somebody there must think he does speak for the nation, or why invite the turd on?

Because he causes controversy and gets talked about.

Why do you think so many thick as pigshit rentagobs get onto QT? Or why some MPs always seem to be offering their opinion on the issues of the day? Because TV schedulers have airtime to fill, and any opinion is better than no opinion in their minds.

Ultimately it all comes down to Oscar Wilde's comments on being talked about.

Oh yeah - on QT, but This Morning?

I would imagine This Morning and Titchmarsh are filmed in the same studio so the production company will get him to double up. It will be a lot cheaper than getting two separate guests because they only have to pay one lot of taxi fares and one lot of make up.

A lot of people who think they speak for the nation actually just speak AT the nation, but see no difference. Mainly because their egos get in the way.
