By today's Republican standards, Raegan was a moderate.

Typical of the PC BBC, giving into the minorities again. Just show it and forget the Muslims, if they don't lkie it they can always leave the country and go back home.

- Stan Still, UK

Im sure that was said to the jews in Germany after Kristalnacht 1938..

where exactly is home I wonder...Muslimland its somewhere nr Arabland
and Darkieland

How do they get away with such a pathetic, and short, article which is completely unimportent ?

Why do I get the impression that the story was suggested in a brainstorming session (which, despite what twats say, nobody will stop you from saying) and was abandoned after fifteen seconds because it's a rubbish idea?

BBC children's TV hosts 'are either gay or childless... and they don't like kids', claims children's presenter

Splendid story there Paul. Not only can the Mail take yet another tiresome potshot at the BBC, it can also do the old "Ooh, gays and kids. It's not right is it?" act as well.

The next 'scoop' will be an expose of how too many gayers get into fashion design and hairdressing...

wasnt this a comedy routine anyhow?

In fairness the woman does that Smile program on BBC with Barny Harwood - a man who obviously hates kids and wants to be doing something on E4.

Nothing would surprise me about the BBC. I do not watch it. It should be scrapped or privatised! And sack all the management too!

Many a true word spoken in jest and all that. You'd have to be very naive or shamelessly dishonest not to think the BBC will try any tactic to promote the liberal cause, even to very young children.

The BBC is run by every minority, or anti-conventional family group in our society that you could imagine. That's why they constantly show programmes to a majority audience that are considered normal to the British population.

- Steve. D, Milton Keynes, England.

Gays and childless people, know your place.

I must be having a thick day as I don't understand this comment, the second sentence in particular. What is he going on about?

You'd think they'd applaud the routine since the comment was a set up to riff on Hamas Mickey Mouse.

Of course that would require them to hold a thought in their head without a knee jerk reaction for a few seconds in order to hear the punch line. We know that's next to impossible for the poor buggers to do.

Eh, not really. The Republican agenda has been pretty much the same for a long time (OH SWEET JEEEEZUUUS LEMME PRIVATISE DAT SOCIAL SECURITY DAGNABBIT), it's only the increased moral issues stuff that sets modern American conservatives apart. Like with terrorism today, I doubt it was that much different during Communism, it's just that the feds stuck their noses into the business of Russians and Chinese instead of Muz-lims.

Absolutely brilliant BBC bash today on the totty frontpage corner:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/a ... icbox&ct=5

What kind of news medium would use leggy blondes and buxom crumpets to promote themselves? Certainly not the Daily Mail!

Absolute hypocrites.

To be honest, I've noticed a couple of occaisons of late when I've been less than satisfied with the objectivity of the BBC's coverage. One was the recent John Redwood thing, showing the footage of him not singing the Welsh anthem when it wasn't at all relevant to the story. The second's been the coverage of the whole Lawrence affair, when they've simply put out the tabloid line about his deportation being blocked due to his Human Rights.

I wouldn't say it amounts to a liberal or conservative bias, but even so, it's not what I'd want from the BBC. I'd argue that making a politician look slightly stupid is less of a crime than reporting a story in the same way as extremely politicised tabloids, but even so...
