Blunkett Bobby mascot under fire for being 'too male and too white'

OMG SHOCKING STORY!!!

Oh, hang on:
Quote:
The officer said the figure, which is white with blue eyes and blond hair, risks leaving Asian and women officers "isolated".

As a result, police chiefs said they are working to develop a new range of both police constable and community support officer characters.

Sounds perfectly reasonable to me.
Either we embrace people and allow equal rights, or we don't.

Quote:
The new row is yet another blow for the Government's much-maligned 'Blunkett's Bobbys'.

Last month, there was widespread outrage when it was revealed that one force had recruited 16-year-olds for the job.

There was even greater outrage just over a week ago when ten-year-old Jordon Lyons drowned in a pond because two PCSOs that werer present were 'not trained' to deal with the situation.

These paragraphs from the Daily Mail talk-out-of-your-cunthole repeat-the-same-shit-over-and-over-and-over-and-over-because-it's-better-than-doing-any-real-journalism department.

I should write an article for them.
"PSCOs to be renamed after complaints from the Oxford Dictionary.

[Some made up twisted rubbish]

There was massive OUTRAGE and UTTER CONTEMPT for the PSCOs last month, after a 16 year old asian PSCO drowned a 10 year old boy whilst screaming "DIE YOU LITTLE WHITE BASTARD""
I wonder if it'd get past the editor?

The Metropolitan Police are already failing the community they serve because they are totally bogged down with pathetic people who see that the way to a promotion is to more "PC" than anyone else!

And while they spout useless rubbish REAL people are dying on the streets the Met has given up on!

Oh Albert, please please keep plugging your organisation. Tis funny to watch you destroy yourself in a vat of unrivelled hatred.

Phil, you're reading a paper that supported the people your father fought. I would suggest that if he was spinning in his grave, it would be at that fact.

This is outrageous. I would definitely complain if he was too black.

Don't people know that British people are WHITE. The black and Indian British people are British, but they are originally from Africa and India. Do my comments make me a racist?

I a a Brit living in Germany and watch BBC World and I am fed up with only seeing dark faces reading the news - they are so politically correct. I would like to see a white British face from time to time. Is that so wrong?

Fantastic comment Shirley, well done.

Funny.

The Beachy Head hero driven to quit by health and safety rules

Story about a bloke who has been told to stop saving lives because of health and safety, because he puts himself at risk or something. It's in the Mail so it's likely to be biased bullshit anyway.

As usual I headed to the bottom of the article to get the truth.. but it wasn't there this time. This was:
Quote:
Mr Lane's [the "beachy head hero"] attitude is a contrast to the two Police Community Support Officers - dubbed 'Blunkett's Bobbies' - who stood by as ten-year-old Jordon Lyon drowned in a pond in Wigan.

Last month, it emerged that the two officers had been ordered by their control room not to attempt a rescue because they did not have the right training.

Minutes later a regular officer arrived and dragged the boy out. But by then, it was too late.

Yup, let's not forget to keep the police bashing going eh Mr Dacre.

In fact, why don't you just put it into every fucking story.
"Why tomatoes are bad for you" "because pscos let children die"
"Why x factor lied" "pscos watched a kid die"
"Why angelina jolie burped" "because pscos murder your children and eat them".

I think the Daily Sport has got better journalistic abilities than the Mail.

Boy drowned by thugs who threw stones to stop their victim escaping

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/a ... rtComments

very sad story..but hang on a minuite reading the story the cops who arrive first on the scenne..did they dive in to search the lake?

Police scoured the clay pit for four hours on Saturday afternoon. But the search found no trace of Shane, who went by the nickname Gatman, and rescuers were eventually stood down.

scoured? you'd think in this sensitive area the words dived in and searched would have reassurred a nervous public that the last incident was one off...however..

A police diving team renewed a search of the water and Shane's body was recovered at 10.15am.

please let me be wrong in thinking this...

I'm particularly impressed by this:
Quote:
Reading between the lines, surely the headline should be "Thug drowned by some other thugs"?

How long before the usual out-of-date school photo of a smiling innocent appears rather than a shot of a shuffling hooded figure off a security camera taken recently which would be far more accurate.

- Tony, Queensland

You nasty bastard Tony. I've got friends in Queensland and I'm horrified that they may have to live near you.

Penalty for being a bit of a wide boy in Mail Land? Drowning and stoning without trial, obviously.

And they throw their hands up in horror at the thought of sharia law.

Last month, it emerged that two PCSOs in neighbouring Greater Manchester had not attempted to rescue drowning ten-year-old Jordon Lyon from a lake in Wigan in May.

The force said the pair were not trained in water rescues and had been ordered to wait for a real police officer to arrive, by which time it was too late.

'Tis true. If you tell a lie often enough...

In the Mail today, there's a handy cut-out-and-keep guide as to what PCSOs are not allowed to do, including:

- NO responding to serious crimes
- NO handing out fines
- NO confiscating alcohol
- NO entering water to save somebody from drowning

The last one is more than a bit gratuitous.

Better still a cardboard cut out.

'Cardboard copper' used to reduce shoplifting is stolen from store

Cardboard cops, that's one better than the useless Community Support Officers who are not allowed to do anything. At least cardboard is cheaper.

exaclty, they're there to support the community - that helps to free up other police officers to tackle real crime

Has anyone got a link to a reliable source of what actually happened with those two PSCOs and 10 year old Jordon, now that it's been long enough for the truth to sort itself out?

I've read bits about how they arrived afterwards and stuff but I'm after a proper report.

As for the Sport... erm Mail.. they should just front page it every day. They've only mentioned it what, 7 times now?
They could do a Daily Express.. "How many different ways can we say the PSCOs 'let' this kid drown"

Cheers for the link.

The Mail's implied version: The PSCOs arrived, saw Jordan in trouble. Watched him drown to death.

That version: The PSCOs arrived, no one knew where Jordan actually was, the (fucking big) pond was too murky to see and he was probably already dead anyway.

The Mail's implied version: The PSCOs stood around and did faff all.

That version: The PSCOs did their jobs: they guided the regular police in and did what they could to help.

Hmm, so.. is the inquest correct, are the Mail correct or is it somewhere in the middle. I wonder.
