The day after a 9 year old goes missing in Dewsbury there's suddenly a sighting of Madeline's and that is a front page story for the Express and The Sun, surely it would be better to lead on the missing child story, where there is a chance of getting her back safe and well, this is sighting just a coincidence or am I being too cynical?

This new girl's a chubbier, slightly older child whose parents come from a council estate. I wasn't surprised at all by the way that the story seemed to completely disappear after that flurry of publicity within the first 24 hours (only to reappear when someone found some CCTV footage that could directly add to the search story).

So maybe I'm too cynical myself, but I'd say "No".
