It's now emerging that Alfie is probably not the father after all, it is likely to be someone older (no sh!t, he didn't even look like his plums had dropped yet) and the family claimed it was him in order to cash in.
Cue literally millions* of comments about evil parents, Broken Britain, scroungers, underage doings etc etc.

These parents may well end up in jail along with Shannon Matthews mother if this is true. Can't believe people can do this to their children in the name of 'making money'. Evil, evil people.

And still our hapless police take no action. Illegality has already taken place and they sit on their hands. Repulsive people, repulsive society, pathetic police and social services (as usual).

I like that phrase, I'm going to use it next time I see a crime being committed - 'Hey, there's an illegality taking place!'

Well you people at the newspapers are not innocent in this sordid story. Maybe you should have asked for DNA proof and investigated a bit further before you went ahead with this story.

Hang on, these are rumours. Wait for the DNA test.
In fact, you'd think they would be reluctant to take a DNA test if it was a scam.
Lot of people commenting here seem to be direct descendants of those who used to burn witches.

Even better! Such fun to see all these "scum" comments from people that have made to look complete fools. Oh, how silly you must feel. Outstanding.
