Anyone like to hazard a guess what will happen to good boarding schools with well disciplined children when you introduce CHAVs and underclass who have little moral standing. Better keep hold of your school kit as theft will rise, bad behaviour will rise and exam results will drop as the few yobs in each class disrupt lessons. Nice idea from left wing scum.

Of course children only ever end up in care because they're scum. It couldn't possibly be because, say, their parents are dead or ill. And it doesn't sound like the cane did anything for J Childs' literacy.

That bottom quote is outrageous:

Mental problems? Beat them.

Broken home? Beat them.

Not understanding stuff at school? JUST BLOODT BEAT THEM ALREADY!

Nothing like a bit of ritual violence to turn children into bitter mail readers...

Oddly the Mail seems quite protective of kiddies here, as it's an excuse to knock Channel 4:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... abuse.html

I saw the programme and didn't think it was too bad - anyone who's been to a girls school would be totally unsurprised at what the girls were like, it just made me glad I wasn't a kid anymore! The kids were closely supervised and could leave if they wanted.

Of course, the commenters seem to think it heralds the coming of the apocalypse:

Quote:
Corporate Child Abuse. Cant get much worse than that. Anyway how on earth did the children get permission to be filmed for such a long period of time with so many other children. I thought the book "Lord of the Flies" taught us all a lesson in child bullying and never to leave children alone without adult supervision. I wonder whether the book was part of the education ciriculum in primary education. Might be a good idea to bring it back to educate adults. FOR GODS SAKE, BROWN. WAKE UP TO WHAT IS HAPPENING. YOUR IN CHARGE OR DIDNT U KNOW THE HOLE OF BRITAIN IS AND WILL CONTINUE TO FADE INTO THE ABYSS.

Is it not time to pull the plug on channel 4.
It has been responsible for some of the biggest offences ever in the history of TV and this is the worst so far.

This is ghastly, and any parent that allowed their child to be involved, should be reported to social services! Channel 4 is vastly gross in its ideas of 'entertainment', or maybe it thinks it is a psychological research body rather than a self-glamourised tabloid TV channel.
As for that woman saying it's made her child more 'independent', are you implying your child is expected to be independent any time soon? Or were you independent when you were 12? Living away from home with fellow peers like a university student? What kind of mother would get rid of her child like that???????????

Sure you've got enough question marks there? Its good for kids to have some independence anyway - some of them couldn't even work a kettle!

Quote:
corporate child abuse!! that's a great idea!
man.. i got to watch that, must be really entertaining and informative.
here's a show idea for C4, how about a tv show about rape?
you could put a rapist in a house full of drunk girls, then do nothing and watch what happens.
i bet my you'll get good rates..

Wasn't really sure where to put this so move it somewhere more appropriate if you see fit! -

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1148521/Teenage-mother-told-say-13-year-old-Alfie-babys-father-cash-story.html

It's now emerging that Alfie is probably not the father after all, it is likely to be someone older (no sh!t, he didn't even look like his plums had dropped yet) and the family claimed it was him in order to cash in.

Cue literally millions* of comments about evil parents, Broken Britain, scroungers, underage doings etc etc.

Quote:
These parents may well end up in jail along with Shannon Matthews mother if this is true. Can't believe people can do this to their children in the name of 'making money'. Evil, evil people.

And still our hapless police take no action. Illegality has already taken place and they sit on their hands. Repulsive people, repulsive society, pathetic police and social services (as usual).

I like that phrase, I'm going to use it next time I see a crime being committed - 'Hey, there's an illegality taking place!'

So someone exploits a news story to make vast sums of money. Remind me, have we heard anything from anyone related to Andrew Sachs in the Daily Mail in the last 6 months?

Don't really see whats wrong with Leslies comment to be honest
(apart from the 'evil' bit)
The Mail need a catalyst for their bashing of the 'great unwashed', and these idiots are providing it.

Via my good pal Jaime, the Mail's war on children is escalating somewhat:

Strangely, there are no new stories about (alleged) teen parents Alfie and Chantelle ion the Mail's site today, and there weren't any yesterday either -- with the exception of some insightful commentary in Allison Pearson's column.

What could have caused the Mail to drop such a popular story so suddenly, I wonder?
