Not a fail as such but still amusing, I noticed this about halfway down on the right where the Femail 'celeb' news is:

They've buried this one as far down the page as they can possible manage at http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... ll-MP.html

Quote:
Further to our article of April 26, we have been asked to make clear that Tessa Jowell never said the selection of Georgia Gould as candidate for Erith and Thamesmead would lead to money from the 2012 Olympic Games becoming available to the area. Ms Jowell said that the Olympics would benefit the constituency and that
Ms Gould was the right person, as MP, to maximise such benefits. She did not offer money as a 'bribe' if Ms Gould was selected and denies any impropriety. We apologise to Ms Jowell.

Comments are enabled but strangely empty. There's a surprise.

Destiny but no Diversity as the Daily Mail predicts Britain's Got Talent

http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/mediamo ... end-monkey

No mention of Diversity, I wonder why?

Heh, reminds me of a guy I used to know from a forum who wrote for online music magazines. He got one article in the Guardian, which he must have been really excited about, which told viewers to watch Eurovision the following night to see Iceland's Silvia Night doing her controversial song with a swear in it. It got knocked out in the semi-final the night before his article appeared though, thus rendering it all out of date and irrelevant.

Rather impressive poll on the site this evening:

They've spotted their mistake tho - it's changed to "Would Labour do better in an election with Alan Johnson as leader?". Shame, I'd love Mr No to be Labour leader - even better if he was a doctor!!

But which 'Yes'? The classical line up of Anderson, Wakeman, Squire, Bruford and Howe?

They've done their usual lazy thing of changing a story without moving to a new set of comments with highly unfortunate effect. The url gives the current angle -
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/ar ... -rest.html

But the current comments say things like:
Quote:
This is Wonderful News .

Quote:
WOW Susan Boyle looks great. Looks like her time at the Priory agreed with her. Best wishes Susan and good luck on your trip to super stardom!

I'm very happy for all of them, especially for Ms. Boyle. Blessings
- JJStrange, Fall River USA, 13/6/2009 02:10

Congratulations Susan. I am so happy you are doing well. I wish you everything that is good. You have been blessed with a beautiful voice.
- M. Smith, Kingston,Jamaica, 13/6/2009 02:08

So they've managed to make it look as these people, plus the 600+ green flaggers, are delighted that their heroine is too unwell to carry on. I must say if I was that much of a Boyle fan that I had been moved to post this sort of comment, I would be distinctly unimpressed.

Surely they can't have meant to leave it in.... from the latest in the Peter Andre vs. Jordan divorce

Quote:
And Katie incensed at press reports of her partying let rip on her Twitter page calling Peter a 'c***'.

She wrote: 'Loving Ibiza can't wait to see my children when there back from Cyprus! Pete being a true cunt to me! He left me nt me leave him.'
