Jimmy Carr has been around long enough for people to know that his dark humour spills out many a bad taste joke. Theyre even all over youtube. I dont condone this sort of humour but its what is expected from Jimmy Carr. If you do not wish to hear jokes such as these, simply do not go to the show.

Incidentally, do all those who express moral outrage at this humour find the work of the likes of Roy "chubby" Brown acceptable? Only most of that makes this particular joke look pretty tame, to be honest. And yet I never see huge spreads and campaigns being launched against him.

Well what do you expect? Jimmy Carr is an edgy comedian. Is this country now so PC that we can't make jokes about anything now? I find nothing disgraceful in it at all, everyone should be possible to be joked about, or else we have a Stasi police state with thought police round every corner!

He's. A. Comedian.
Also, he's well known for doing near the knuckle material. The fact that he's bothered to spend time visiting wounded troops (something I'll bet most of the masses who complain about this joke won't have bothered to do, by the way) shows that he's not actually callous or uncaring about the reality of what soldiers are actually going through.
When Bernard Manning died people fell over themselves to attempt to excuse his years of racist, sexist, rubbish on the grounds that he was a comedian. Why is Carr different?

OMG! It's a joke, it's comedy, it's not racist, it's not sexist, it's not Nick Griffin. Everything Jimmy Carr says on-stage is offensive - that's the point of his act(sic).

So why is Ben in the red, but not the others? Is it due to the little dig at Nick Griffin, I wonder..?

Presumably paul, bangor also objects to jokes about Muslims and the like, although something makes me doubt it...
