Amen. Last night's climate change debate reminded many people how politics could and should be conducted. All participants were anchored to the evidence based scientific consensus due to Johnson, Gove and Farage's absence.

It's amazing how the route to grown-up politics is as simple as ejecting the non-grown-ups.

Sadly, there's quite an overlap between "why can't we have a sensible discussion about issues?" and "all they're doing is bloody talking!".

Swing Vote

Michael Gove’s little quip about parliamentary swingers in their mid-50s caught us a bit off-guard this week. As we mentioned back in July, there’s been a persistent Westminster rumour about the Goves hosting some rather specialist parties round at theirs – but we had always assumed it was just that. A rumour. Now? We’re not so sure…

For years, Sarah Vine has been writing extraordinarily candid columns about some of her most personal experiences – and she hasn’t drawn a line when it comes to sex. Sex that she’s presumably having with Michael Gove.

I would have to have been so fucked to attend that party, that I wouldn't be able to walk away, let alone drive.

We've been there and, like any fine tabloid journalist, "made our excuses and left", by taxi.

(That's the thing, when an otherwise trustworthy pal puts together a gathering and you realise that the Star Wars bar chucked out early. It's a waste of a good condom or three.)

I have lead a sheltered life

Oddly enough, a colleague of mine asked if I knew anything about an alleged 'secret code' that said if you had pampas grass growing in your garden, you were... of this inclination?
