And if this happens, what will people do? Sign an online petition?
The last time it happened, they grabbed their pikes, muskets and swords, and shortened the Bastard by a foot.
Tell the DUP its a Papist plot organised by Anne Widdecombe.

"That was then, and this is now"...
I'm perfectly happy to reflect the zeitgeist and truncate the bastard by 30.5 centimetres.

Joking apart though, I can't see any real form of resistance to this happening. Being British, we'll tut loudly and that'll be it. Or, as mentioned before, sign an online petition. Or perhaps, write to the Grauniad.

Strange, innit? A vague hint that an advisory referendum might not be completely adhered to and we're on the path to civil war, apparently. A very real threat of Parliament being suspended hardly registers.
I haven't browsed the comments, but after today's vote, I suspect civil war may possibly be back on the Mailite agenda.

Lying again.

He does know that the IoM is neither in the UK or the EU, doesn't he?

Still, the Gammon Gumbys will lap it up. We will be free to get food poisoning at the levels the Yanks do.

Gammons used to love the IoM.
* Birching.
* No speed limits.
* Not too fussy about the source of your funds - AND you can take it with you.

I wonder whether we could offer it to the Gammons as their own special Volkstaat.
I'm sure it would turn a profit from interested tourists; like Holmes County Pennsylvania.
