What point is the above article making? Johnson invites sympathetic media players to No 10 to explain and sell his duff policy.
Replace "explain and sell" with "beg permission".

Every day it's something else, and every day it makes no difference. It's like he's got something on most of the electorate and in all seriousness I ask - what will it take for people to get angry?
They're already angry:
* Angry with the woke.
* Angry with remoaners.
* Angry with urban elites.
* Angry with feminazis.
* Angry with uppity ethnics.
* Angry with the vegans.
* Angry with the educated.

All politicians look artificial doing these photo ops but Johnson especially so. Is he trying to capture some of the Churchill go-getting attitude by doing so?

Memories fade, but images are forever. Who knows if someone was heckling Chamberlain as he brandished his paper, or if that nurse was telling the sailor to fuck off when he kissed her in Times Square*? People will forget the father complaining about NHS care, and Johnson denying any camera crews were present, but the photo of him in a hospital, meeting the people, will remain.

*I'm sure her reaction is documented somewhere, but it's beside the point.
