In a wide-ranging interview with BI, the International Trade Secretary also said that:

The EU needs to provide Britain with more guidance for what it wants from Brexit, or it will result in a no-deal situation.
The European Commission is putting "political ideology" ahead of the "economic wellbeing of the people of Europe."

I'm not a member of HMG but even I know that we can have remain, Norway, Switzerland, Canada or no deal. Why doesn't a highly paid government minister know this? Answers on a postcard, please.

This is a dubious claim. How can a new agricultural deal be sealed before the UK's relationship with the EU has been established?

Twitter followers who read EU press releases and Global Meat News shine some light
Pork products from Italy, including the renowned Parma ham, are now allowed on the Taiwanese market following joint work by the European Commission and the Italian authorities. The opening of the market is expected to generate sales of Italian pork products of around €2 million.

The approval for fresh meat is effective immediately, but it will take several months until hams will be available for sale as they have to complete their maturation process before being placed on the market. The opening of the Taiwanese market is the result of several years' work engaging with the Taiwanese government, academia and the wider public in a dialogue to explain the EU's comprehensive, multi-layered control systems, recognised worldwide to meet highest sanitary standards. https://ec.europa.eu/info/news/taiwan-o ... -mar-19_en

At least Fox is gearing up for Brexit by annulling the UK's global trading infrastructure
BRITAIN BOOMING UK’s trade exports hit record high of £616billion in fresh vote of confidence for Brexit
In the last year our trade balance has narrowed and more goods and services are being exported around the world

Trade Secretary Liam Fox said Britain was continuing to defy the gloom mongers by proving critics wrong as we gear up for Brexit, https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/6952858/u ... or-brexit/

Liam Fox is plotting to scrap EU food standards to win a Brexit trade deal with Trump

Unavoidable surely if we buy cheaper food from outside the EU.

Dear Liam,

It's 'peddle'.

All trade deals involve a great deal of compromises because governments have to listen to all the various vested interests. If the government wants to rush through deals they will have to make a lot of compromises so food standards are likely to be sacrificed.

A no deal is 'survivable' which must also infers it is not 'survivable' too?

The slow recognition in his eyes and then the unfolding fear that he is stuck there in front of some blonde bint who is roasting him until is unpreparedness and and hubris seeps from every pore.

There's a whiff of Ali G about this.
