Freudian tit? Plastic Dave (he's got a book out, you know) speaks at a litertary festival - and gets heckled.

'Greased piglet' Boris Johnson could pass deal, says David Cameron

Former prime minister says he would vote for the deal on Saturday if he was still an MP

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/20 ... id-cameron
But he isn't still an MP due to a bad case of public rage-quitting.

If I wanted words of wisdom, I'd call Norman.
Showing again why the much mocked cones hotline PM has come to look like a statesman compared to all of his successors. Even the underrated William Hague can’t be arsed to stick his head above the parapet.

Hague is probably bloody glad he got out when he did. If he hadn't, he might even be an unlikely member of the dreaded Gaukeward Squad right now.

Incidentally, Hague's dimwitted 2001 GE "Last Chance To Save the Pound" effort is probably the sort of thing a future Rejoin campaign will be up against in 10 years time, but with added Francois.

Great review of Cameron's "dismal legacy" by Chris Cook. Even stuff he got right, like pensions, he probably didn't understand. He actually seems to have believed "bureaucrats running schools" too. And a bizarre opinion of the ERM- we'd have needed those high interest rates anyway, or something.

Heads Dave wins, tails you lose
David Cameron has made more than £1.6m since he quit as prime minister following the Brexit vote in 2016.
The accounts for the Office of David Cameron, which were made public on the UK’s final day as a member of the European Union, show that he made £836,168 in the year to 30 April 2019. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/20 ... -vote-2016

He's shown up to criticize Johnson merging DIFD with the Foreign Office. He's right about this, but it's hard to take from he who turbocharged this sort of bollocks in the first place. And indeed plucked Johnson from obscurity in the first place.

Be fair. It is an "I saw you coming" original hand-crafted reproduction peasant shepherd's hut. Marie Antoinette had one, or something similar - and she did all right for herself.

Marie Antoinette ... did all right for herself.
It would be churlish to wish any less for Cameron...

You have to wonder whether there’s an element of revenge in this. The Bullingdon Boys have always been petty wankers, and Cameron will be delighted at how much of an absolute shitshow Boris has made of it, and what a miserable time he’s having. He can’t say much about Brexit given he fucked that one up himself, but this is an own goal all of Johnson’s making.
