Spineless Nick has chimed in;
“Well, Grant Shapps has fervently denied that he had anything to do with it. He himself does not have the time apparently to edit his own Wikipedia entry. I’m prepared to believe him. It could have been someone else. Michael Green for instance.”

Don't worry Grant has a well respected influential back bench Tory MP to back him up

“One editor, who for all we know is part of a Labour/Guardian smear campaign, has given a statement to the Guardian from which they seem to have based an entire story. “A simple look in my diary shows I was elsewhere,” he added.
What does physical location have to do with it?

Is this person so obviously lying that it's not worth discussing it? Hmmmmmmm?

Grant ‘automation software’ Shapps: I was elsewhere at the time
Wednesday 22 April 10:28
But his denials would carry a lot more weight if:

he wasn’t already a proven liar
he hadn’t already admitted editing his Wikipedia page
his YouTube account hadn’t already been used in an apparent botched attempt to pretend to be a Liberal Democrat during a by-election

The assertion that he was elsewhere when the edits were made would also be much more powerful were it not for his links to sophisticated automation software.

His family company’s Google manipulation kit Traffic Paymaster was designed to illicitly ‘scrape and spin’ content from other websites unaided. And he is still using auto follow/unfollow software on his Twitter account to this day in a bid to generate ‘follow backs’.

The IP address has him banged to rights. He's a lying little scroat and it says as much about his party that he hasn't been hooked as it says about him.

Not seen that one? One I've found just says "There's also a lot of overlap between the IP addresses used by Contribsx and other edits that focus on things like deleting mentions of HowToCorp - and the account was created on the very same day that several other accounts with an unusual interest in Shapps' history were banned. " which isn't direct proof....

Grant Shapps sacked from cabinet in Cameron's reshuffle
David Cameron has sacked the Tory party chairman Grant Shapps from the cabinet after a series of embarrassing revelations about his alleged attempts to mould his image on social media.

In a humiliating blow after he helped to deliver the first Tory parliamentary majority in 23 years, Shapps was demoted to the lesser role as minister of state at the Department for International Development.

Shapps had attended the cabinet as Tory co-chairman and as minister without portfolio at the Cabinet Office. His humiliation was compounded by the prime minister's decision to promote his fellow Tory co-chairman Lord Feldman to the post of full chairman of the party with a seat in the political cabinet.
