Unbelievable.

This is why I reluctantly disagree with people like @femi_sorry. There are many very active and passionate Remainers like him who's entire game plan is to keep tying to talk and reason with Brexiters and somehow talking them round.

They are completely and utterly unreasonable and no amount of niceties and explaining is going to change their minds. They'd happily see the country go to complete shit as long as they get their Brexit so trying to politely explain to them and the economy will be damaged etc is not going to work.

Completely. Fucking. Insane.
And that's putting it mildly!

That poll merely confirms what many of us have suspected for a long time, i.e. that a sizeable proportion of the present-day Conservative party membership are not really conservatives at all but are in fact extreme eurosceptic nationalists.

And all this for what? For a freedom they're too ideologically fixated on to see as anything other than impossibly pure. Let's just ignore reality for a moment.

Good conservative thinking. As you say Arrowhead, they are nationalists to the max.

That's the word. Nationalists. Amber Rudd isn't all sweetness and light by any means but it was her who at the referendum made the argument about the EU being a place the UK could amplify its voice to achieve international change, and gave the example of climate change. I think the audience were underwhelmed.

Femi's walkabouts are aimed at the 30-40% of Leave voters who took a punt based on bad campaigns from both sides. We knew in 2016 that a third of the electorate would see the country burn to exit the EU and were not worth canvassing.

You don't need all that many to change to win a second referendum. Ethnic minority Brexiters won't turn out like last time. Plus demographic change of course, and lots more younger people being registered to vote (for which Corbyn takes much credit).

There are hardly any No Dealers left in Parliament. Virtually all the Leave politicians endorsed May's deal on ghe 3rd vote. Farage isn't winning an egg and spoon race without the more mainstream Tories who led Leave last time.

Brexiters would destory the economy, their own party, the British state and risk NI drifting back to civil conflict for Brexit but not JC4PM. He should take that as a backhanded compliment but the old fool seriously thinks they might vote for him if he takes back control of trains.
