They'll have to do *something* very rapidly afterwards. What that is I don't know, and I can't see any of them having even a sliver of the competence to do it.

Of course they don't have the competence - we elected a single issue pressure group to govern the country. It was like getting the local neighbourhood watch committee to run a town council.

This makes absolutely no sense. What does she expect the Minister to say? "No, we've decided to undercharge, and not adhere to the sentencing guidelines".

Also, commenting on an ongoing criminal case in this manner could be seen as a brave decision.
