Yebbut, till the neighbours called the cops....
Not here..

Had a weird sort of "Drawn by Salvador Dali" look.

(I'm no oil painting; obvs).

Esther McVey's meltdown was so bad that Cabinet ministers thought they would have to call SECURITY

The Mailites aren't buying it "Another bias article", "She is a patriot like the millions who dies in world wars", "At least she's fit".

Today, the postman brought, amongst adverts, circulars and other crap, a tabloid sized 4 page news sheet from Tatton Conservatives, featuring Esther McVey.

It was, I stress, unsolicited, and contains lots of pictures of our MP, Inspecting things like the local free community bus service (necessary because Stagecoach axed the 378 Wilmslow to Stockport service) and some local businesses.

It’s had a quick passage from letter box to bin.

(via the shed because there’s lots of Esther pics in it obvs)

Esther McVey becomes the first Tory to throw her hat into the leadership ring as she reveals she would think about running for the top job if Theresa May is ousted

And there you are, Laydeeez'n'gennermen - the state of British politics today. Twenty-frickin-eighteen. Hear that deafening rumble? It's our grandparents spinning in their graves.

I am not sure which is more shocking - that we have gone into this through the looking glass world where someone as thinly talented as McVey is even holding ministerial office or that she is so deluded and lacking in self-awareness that she even considers she might be up for the job.

We badly need to consider how we can restore a pipeline of talent to politics. Delusion with politicians is driving a race to the bottom in terms of talent. Relentless social media, 24 hour news bollocks, obsession with matters of trivial personal morality, shit pay (fewer MP's paid better) are all contributors. Am fully expecting Joey Essex to be Chancellor by the time I shuffle off!

It looks as through comments are unmoderated, so fill yer boots.

Example of what moderators might be expected to intercept:
Dr. Tarquin Melchett, Truro, United Kingdom, 2 minutes ago

For her to become leader, she'd have to blow the entire 1922 c_o.mmittee, but from what I understand, this would be well within her means.
