I was a bit surprised that he didn't have a topic already.

Sajid Javid faces battle over 4% affordable homes in Sainsbury's scheme
The 29-storey development in Ilford, east London, will be built in a borough that has a stated policy that 50% of all new homes should be affordable. It estimates it needs an extra 15,000 affordable homes in the next 15 years, but Javid backed a scheme with just 27 affordable homes. The rest are expected to be sold for about £400,000 for a two bedroom flat.

The Mailites aren't keen:
Cerredo, London, United Kingdom

Putting an immigrant in charge of immigration, could only happen here in good old UK.
Catherine, Chelmsford, United Kingdom

Why did Theresa May choose an immigrant for this immigration position!
santro, bedford, United Kingdom

Khan and Javid form a great deadly combination.
Susannah55_Sydney, Sydney, Australia

Will the last born and bred Brit leaving the UK please turn out the lights.
Maggie, Cheshire, United Kingdom

Why have we got another remainer as home secretary, I hope Theresa May is ousted out, this is not acceptable. We have May, Hammond and now Javid, all remainers at the top of a party, who promised us we would be leaving lock stock and barrel, what a joke it's turned into.
Teboy, Brixham, United Kingdom

If Farage returned and UKIP put up just 50 candidates at the obviously forthcoming General Election....wednesday wil probablyl see a vote of no confidence against May which will trigger the fall of the government.... UKIP would probably win 15 - 20 seats and hold the balance of power. Thats the only way Brexit , as voted for , can be achieved. Demicracy is being smothered by unelected peers and imbecilic Tory MPs like Soubry.

Yes, a nearly bankrupt UKIP could definitely afford to stand 50 candidates. It would then absolutely win 20 seats, 10x more than they've ever held in Parliament at any one time before. Because as we know the public as a whole are, if anything, becoming more and more pro-Brexit with every passing second.

Robert Walpole is generally accepted to be the first Prime Minister in 1721. It also seems to be when the great offices of state come into their own.

So it's quite laughable seeing idiots say "them foreign types are taking over" in the wake of Sajid Javids appointment when he's the first chap with his ancestry to hold such a position in 297 years....
