Following the vote for the new plan in the House of Commons I [Hunt] will then allow 3 weeks for negotiations with the EU. As prime minister I will make a judgement on 30th September as to whether there is a realistic chance of a new deal being agreed that can pass the House of Commons.

If my judgement - and the judgement of my negotiating team - is that there is a deal to be done I will seek to conclude the negotiations and pass a new meaningful vote and any necessary legislation in the House of Commons before the end of October.

If my judgement is that there is no deal to be done I will immediately cease all discussions with the European Union and focus the whole country’s attention on no deal preparations.
Three weeks for talks. One month to plan for no deal. We're really fucked.

I think there is a message here that we will revoke Article 50 and express sorrow that [insert scapegoat here] prevented no-deal from happening.

Either that or these cretins really are that stupid.

Why wait till 30 September? I'll tell you now, Jez - there is zero fucking chance.

How Boris Johnson’s Scotland problem could keep the Tories out of power

Perhaps that’s unsurprising when Johnson has a negative net approval rating of minus 37 in Scotland – the Brexit party’s Nigel Farage is more popular, on a mere minus 24. That same Panelbase survey found that more than half of Scottish voters could back independence if Johnson became prime minister.

More bollocks from the lesser of two evils.

Is this because he recalls somebody said about the Police cancelling all leave because of the Notting Hill Carnival? Or is it completely cynical, blah blah militant unions blah ruined my no deal.

It's just more "one more heave" crap. He wants people grinding pencils down to the last millimetre because he thinks pointless effort translates into success. See also "if you're not carrying something heavy, you're not really working".
