I spotted this trending:

Gordon Brown

Once you get past the usual "unelected prime minister, sold all the gold" shit you then start to see that outside of this putrescent shithole we call home that Brown was actually respected in the rest of the world over his actions in 2008...
One day I hope Gidiot gets similar denigration for selling off the last of the nation's assets.

Christ almighty, on an other forum one of the Corbynistas claimed that the reason freedom of movement is ending is because the Lib Dems and the 'sensibles' voted for an early general election becasue they didn't want Corbyn to become PM. I mean with thinking like that where do you even begin?

Wasn't Corbyn practically begging for an election once they'd taken No Deal on 31/10/19 off the table?

Indeed. He appeared to be under the impression that the people were just gagging for his brand of incoherent 6th form socialism. And he was, of course, surrounded by loyal supporters (not sycophantic nonentities at all) telling him that in this, as in all things, he was absolutely right.

Whilst the rest of us...

I'd not read this before today, but it's absolutely spot on and - given it was from 2016 - nothing in the behaviours it suggested was disproven in the last 4 years.

Love the last paragraph
The only acquaintance with ideas as a source of pleasure, rather than a political weapon, is Corbyn’s brief attendance at a seminar known as the Independent Left Corresponding Society, held at Tony Benn’s house in Holland Park for Ralph Miliband, Perry Anderson, Tariq Ali and Andrew Glynn, the economist. Even at this gathering, Corbyn was reported as not really saying much.

Hey, guess whose supporters are bitching all over twitter about how their man could have done just as much as Starmer if it weren't for <incomprehensible mumbling>?

To be fair, he only had 5 years and there were a lot of important things to say about Elsie from Norwich's bus pass.
