Rosie Duffield:
Is low profile and therefore easy to bury - unlike Cummings.

Needs a higher profile for taking a bullet for the team for her ‘tryst’. A telling off from Keir to remind voters he leads his party would be handy as well.

Important piece from Nick Cohen.

https://thecritic.co.uk/issues/june-202 ... back-myth/
The far left speaks with two voices. The first is the sweet voice it uses when it talks to the mainstream of progressive opinion. Forget all our associations with Leninism, Islamism and the Arab and South American dictators, it says. Forget our supporters who boast, “I am literally a communist.” We want what you want. Our only difference with the Labour politicians of the past is that when we declare our hatred of needless foreign wars and austerity we mean it.

Statements so inoffensive they might have been on greetings cards once peppered Jeremy Corbyn’s discourse. “If you do what you believe in, you’re strong. It’s when you don’t do what you believe in that you’re weak.” “The technology of the digital age should empower us both as workers and consumers.” “Racism divides, exploitation of minorities divides, exploitation of minorities brings about hatred.” How true and how lovely, and who could object?

Then there is the cracked voice the far left uses when it talks to itself. It does not matter if outsiders listen and think the far left is crazy or mendacious or both. All that matters is persuading its allies not to abandon the cause when they have every reason to leave.

Barry Gardiner.

Barry fucking Gardiner.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/articl ... -demo.html

Give the Mail half a chance.= and they'll take it and not even say 'thank you.'
A former Labour minister is facing calls to be banned from Parliament today after boasting of breaking lockdown rules to join anti-racism protests in London.

Barry Gardiner posted video from the Black Lives Matter demonstration in Westminster last night.

His presence among the thousands of people protesting the murder of black American George Floyd came as coronavirus guidelines tell the public to avoid gatherings of more than six people, who are socially distanced.

Mr Gardiner, a junior trade minister under Gordon Brown and a leading figure of Jeremy Corbyn's shadow Cabinet until April, dismissed fears he could carry infection into Westminster by telling critics he 'tested negative this week'.
One of the things the Corbyntwats never understood was the need not to give your opponents a stick to beat you with. Gardiner is just going on in the same amateurish, lackadaisical way as he did under the tutelage of the Allotment Superstar. And a complete lack of understanding on how viruses are transmitted, presumably thinking that a negative test provides immunity.

Angela Rayner has kicked him in the metaphorical bollocks, but it will take more than that to wipe the shit-eater grin off his smug fizzog.

Its a pity Baz is not still in the shadow cabinet so he could be sacked. Maybe removing the whip for a few months as penance will concentrate the minds of MPs to vain to realise if you become the story you take a bullet for the party.

What I don't get is Gardiner is not, on paper, unintelligent. He studied philosophy with John Rawls FFS!

Is it just vanity, or is there something else?
We can all make ill advised moves born out of passion but a politician of Barry’s vintage should have an internal Sgt Wilson by now to ask if what you’re doing is wise. It wouldn’t have mattered if Corbyn was leader as he was too vain and craving to be loved to sack his mates. And cared more about dominating the party than getting elected.

Bollocks Barry seems to be under the impression that a negative test result indicates immunity.
Don't be like Barry.
Don't die of ignorance.
