If May hadn't mentioned the "dementia tax", how many more votes would she have got? If it cost 500 votes per constituency, which isn't much, then that alone nets 10 seats and negates any need to deal with the DUP. Big difference. I reckon that the deal gets close to passing because nobody cares about the backstop.

Haven’t heard from loyal Corbyn stalwart Cat Smith lately and looking at her Twitter she’s a very busy constituency MP. That’s all she Tweets about but nothing about Corbyn or the rows going on in the party. Sensible Lancashire lass keeping her head down
