Huge difference, Blair has a proven track record of getting stuff done, whereas Corbyn has only ever criticised how other people are doing stuff.

If in the logo they’ve picked the top is a “p” then following the same design logic the bottom should be a “d”. If the bottom is a “j” then following the same design logic the top should be an “r”.

Or to put it another way, even Jeremy’s nice new badge is a mess of inconsistency.

Syrians, Iranians, Cubans, Venezuelans, Bosnians, Kurds, Ukrainians and Bosnians need not apply for help from the Peace and Justice Project on the grounds they're not victims of Imperialism.

All of this very much cements what I said was the biggest problem Labour were under Corbyn - namely a party of protest, not a party of government.
Not just under Corbyn, although he was the worst example.

FTFY

And that's the problem. While human rights for people in those countries, defeating totalitarianism, building a better and fairer world is all important, admirable - noble even - outside of the sort of headbanger who berates you for not acknowledging the Sandinistas when taking a piss, not many people with the voting power to get you into office where you can address these things fucking cares. And they'd rather you started with the potholes than prosecuting Pol Pot*.

*Yes, I know he's dead.

Admittedly Blair's institute has his name in the title, but I note the most important thing for Corbyn's new outfit, which appears before any mention of mission, is to state that it was Corbyn who set it up.

He likes to think he's nothing like Blair. But he pursues destructive policies based on belief and ego alone, and he's all about himself and not accepting responsibility.

The main difference is he has done very little actual, tangible good (and being a lifelong complainer doesn't count) to offset his failings.

Thing is, who'd book his organisation to do anything? Anyone objective knows (a) he's shit-all use at negotiation because he just sits back and lets discussion and argument happen around him - up to and including setting the policy of the party he's supposed to be leading, (b) he comes into any given situation with a lifetime of inflexible, simplistic notions of who is "right" and who is "wrong" before anyone has spoken a word, (c) situations with any sort of nuance where there might be no obvious bad actors, or a "good" (in his opinion) actor is doing something clearly bad, are beyond his ability to navigate, (d) his working relationship to any form of media that isn't fawning or horribly biased in a way he approves of is dreadful, and (e) he's incapable of handling criticism.

I was under the impression St. Jeremy had a Saturday night lecturing residency at Conway Hall.

The Corbots want him to make it a political party and stand candidates in the 2024 GE. They seem oblivious to the fact that Corbyn himself has largely loathed and worked to undermine the Labour Party for the entire time he has been an MP, yet somehow has failed to gather the energy to break away from his lovely safe seat and guaranteed income even though they assure him he’d sweep to power on the same wave of support that saw him win the argument in 2019 and sweep to a resounding 2nd place in 2017
