That's probably why the BNP and NF have not been as successful.

Is there anyone left in charge of the EDL?

The BNP have had some electoral success, which is more than the EDL when they had a pathetic attempt or two to become proper politicians. This, apparently, is their leader. http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/edl-english-de ... man-512972" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I'm not sure anyone ever thought of him, seriously, as such. He's a chancer, fuelled by a mutual backslapping/masturation ring, who appealed to predominantly young men in search of an outlet for their frustrations, a bit of social bonding and a chance for a ruck. Same as football hooliganism. Same as Paki-bashing by the NF. And it'll go on. Perhaps not so public, perhaps back in the shadows, but it'll go on.

I got close to the pair of them at an EDL rally, and while Robinson seemed a bit dangerous in an "'Oo spilt my pint?" way Carroll was always looking round, clocking people, memorising faces. I've no doubt he could be the more dangerous of the two.
