I think people generally do realise they're hard right shits. That's why they don't take many votes from Labour.

UKIP budget response, by the more-serious-than-Fargle Tim Congdon:

http://www.ukip.org/content/latest-news ... aucracy-up" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

As ever it's mostly about the EU. He doesn't mention for example that Britain would be charged a fee to trade in the Single Market. But credit to him for not banging on about overseas aid.

He's pretty rightwing, but an interesting glimpse into what UKIP could be.

I think they're seen as outdated uber-Tories rather than hard right.

That's my impression yes. He may come across as a troll to some but I don't think he is smart enough to be a troll. That would indicated that he thinks before he speaks or at least would stop speaking when called out for being a twat.

I think he genuinely believes he is contributing to the zeitgeist of mailwatch by expressing a controversial view. A controversial view that he cannot defend of course, yet he laughably keeps going, while looking like, as you put it, a DD sized tit.

Personally, I think Emmett (nice Irish name BTW!) is well meaning in trying to project and argue for a counter-view from the norm on this forum. That is not a bad thing in itself.
The problem is for Emmett is that he comes across as someone whose personal amount of general critical research into what he argues for would comfortably fit on to the back of a postage stamp, and seems more comfortable to just being used as a cats paw.

Oops. Oh well, worth it for the quote.

Actually, that's so good we ought to have it in every thread.

Do you think Fargle's smirking and laughing was embarrassment or arrogance? Or, as noted, that he is a DD sized tit?

So UKIP have a policy on gay marriage. Guess what, they don't like it.

But education policy hasn't been updated for 5 years.

Why are they ramming their gay rights policy down our throats?

To prove they're not just a single-issue party and have other policies. Oh yes.
