I think Trump changed everything TBH. I think if Brexit was held this June rather than last then we'd be seeing a different result.
Trump's team believe Brexit tilted it for them. It was reasonable to predict they wouldn't win but the premature triumphalism that Farage et al made with regards to Le Pen and Wilders showed their stupidity by setting themselves up for a fall. As someone pointed out like divvy England supporters who won't even entertain the idea their team aren't going to lift the World cup.

See the Daily Mail go out of business through lack of readership.

It's a rare ray of sunshine in politics at the moment, to be sure.

However, it has certainly come to something when a fascist getting one third of the vote in a major western democracy is something to celebrate.

The Daily Mail doing their very best to drag the narrative further into the gutter:

How DOES Macron's wife defy her age? Experts claim hair extensions, veneers, designer style and some very subtle cosmetic surgery keep Brigitte Trogneux, 64, looking so youthful

The Mailtes respond exactly the way they were intended to:

I don't think she looks that great for her age actually. Her skin resembles brown leather, maybe from too much sun over the years and she is very wrinkled, arms included. Sorry to sound mean, but I know many women her age who look far more youthful. It must be exhausting for her, though, hanging onto her youth for the sake of her very young husband.

Shall we give the facist Le Pen and Dacre's female columnists the same treatment? Or are we better than that?

And what possible good can this sniping and bitching do?

"FFS", Macron will be thinking, "I've had the gig for less than 24 hours and they are already tearing in to my missus. Who the fuck are these people?"

What is he going to think when he is quietly informed that Dacre is May's bezzie and is free to do whatever he wishes? Two cheeks of the same cul, comme on dit.

There's a pretty big clue in BBN's post at the top of this page as to what sort of chap we're dealing with. Dacre's going to need stronger blood pressure tablets. Hopefully, the mendacious, bitter old tosser will just explode and do us all a favour.
