Finally, 241 women and children abducted by Boko Haram are free

This is not the first time a group of Boko Haram hostages has been released: In May this year, 293 women and girls were rescued after the military captured three insurgent camps inside the Sambisa Forest in the country’s northeast.

The Violence Against Persons (Prohibition) Act 2015, which was passed by the Nigerian Senate earlier in May, also will prevent men from leaving their families without proving financial support, according to Reuters.
