That he can't resist making any occasion, no matter how non denominational and unifying its supposed to be, into something divisive, partisan and all about him. Also that his relationship with the military is the worst sort of armchair generalship and fanboy wank. Happy to fantasise about big bombs and waterboarding and tough men doing tough things, but less comfortable dealing with the realities such as wounded veterans or war graves.
