The four progressive Democratic congresswomen known as "The Squad" expressed surprise on Friday night when Twitter posted about its policy against wishing harm or death to someone in light of President Trump's Covid-19 diagnosis.

Yeah, something isn't right. Either he is putting the health of a shed load of persons in danger to satisfy his fragile ego, or he isn't actually diagnosed with COVID-19 at all (though this is a stretch given the reported diagnosis of his wife and many associates), there's not much to be realistic about in between the two. No way he's getting discharged tomorrow unless it's of his own initiative - which would be incredibly stupid but also incredibly predictable.

He’s trying too hard to look like he isn’t Ill.
Yes - my old-time Eastern Bloc dictators on their last legs senses are tingling.
I'm old enough to remember the Brezhnev era.
A line up of octagenerians with their identikit fur hats and eyebrows.
Taking bets on which one would die next (and which was already dead, but strapped to a frame).

There are many reasons for the fall of the Soviet Union.
The largest being their failure to fund military spending on US/NATO terms.
But a lack of party succession planning is certainly up there.

I think it's the former. Both he and his father have always been obsessed that illness is a sign of weakness. He's doing it because he thinks it makes him look tough and strong, probably more to convince himself than anyone else.

But yeah, if he goes "home" today it'll be because the white house medical suite has been upgraded with the equipment he'd need if he crashed - not because he's recovered. Friday/Saturday is the time to watch. 7-10 days after diagnosis is when people who develop symptoms either shake them off for good or start to go downhill as they're overwhelmed. If he goes to the White House he takes a massive gamble that if he needs more care he has to go back again - potentially this time on a stretcher. And that image would be the end of him.

They were the old guard when Khrushchev died and put an end to his libtard reforms. It was hard to find a younger generation with ability they could trust to be faithful. A bit like a 21st century Britain reviving a vision for the country that only works in Bill Cash’s head.

There's a particular mindset demonstrated by many Trump voters that defines strength as hating weakness. And by weakness, they mean any flicker of empathy, compassion, reliance on others, or basically not being a toxic macho arsehole. At one end you've got frat boys hazing the nerds, at the other it's people shooting others because they felt like it.

What happens to that strength displayed by Trump’s base and Brexiters when it leads to a painful bullet in the foot? Self-pitying wining and bogus victim turned up to 11. What a bunch of pussy boy cucks.
