From the Express:
Nigel Farage gave a very emotional and heated interview on Fox News earlier today.

The former UKIP leader hit out at the NHS for not allowing Alfie to go and get treatment elsewhere.

Dad Tom Evans recently had his final appeal rejected to take his son to Italy for more care following the removal of his life support machine in Alder Hey’s Children’s Hospital, Liverpool.

He passionately explained: “Any parent in the world who’s got a child that’s sick would move heaven and earth if somebody else could offer them a different treatment.

“Yet what happens here is our state-run medical system decides there’s nothing else that can be done and backed up by the state courts, they make a decision that those parents are not fit to move their child somewhere else.

“It’s classic of the establishment closing ranks, the state being all powerful.

“And frankly what is happening today and what is happening right now is a form of state-sponsored euthanasia and I hate it.”
"State-sponsored euthanasia"? Cunt.

The circus will leave town until the next fluffy bunny cute toddler case gets traction on social media. The signs that had 'Alfie' painted over 'Charlie' will merely be painted over again, with the ''s Army' left and waiting.

Funny how many of these merkins using the Evans case to play on the "evils of socialised medicine" seem to very much forget the case of Terri Schiavo.

Alfie would have been treated far better in the US Healthcare system of course.

An excellent point, does anybody know how long his parents health insurance would have kept him in treatment?

Ohh great... Polish Anti Vaxers are all over facebook.

Why Polish:
* I have a lot of Polish friends who have other Polish friends.
* The Polish PM made a bog speech about Alfie Evans a few weeks ago, and they've been focused on it since,

Their narative is that Alfie was OK until he was vacinated.

Have there ever been any cases of an anti-vaxer's child dying from the disease that a particular vaccination would have prevented?
I can't think of a specific example - but most high profile anti-vaxers are celebs "speaking their branes" - with excellent access to money-no-object treatment.

One lad in my primary school class died of complications from what started as a cold.
His parents were members of a Christian sect/cult which didn't believe in medical treatment.
There was a bit of a fuss when it transpired that he'd never visited a doctor, and their brethren were attempting a cure through the power of prayer.
