I expected the news of Vote Leave's fraudulent overspending to sink without trace. Like this story from February 2016. Better late than never.
A leading Brexit campaigner was reported to police tonight after leaked letters revealed he was planning to break the £7 million spending limit for the EU referendum.

Tory MP Steve Baker wrote to Eurosceptic colleagues detailing how Vote Leave, one of the two groups battling to be designated the official Out campaign in the referendum, could 'spend as much money as is necessary to win'.

Now Labour MP Pat McFadden has asked police to investigate, saying Mr Baker's comments suggest his campaign 'may breach the law'. ... endum.html
