This going to be mainly a Brexit related thread by default.
If that figure continues to fall we’ll be in a deflationary spiral of decline by next year. Johnson better start building his sci fi bridges and estuary airports

This government simply doesn't care about the economic impacts, or at the very least is too stupid to fully understand the numbers and their long-term implications for Glorious Brexitannia.

Either way, any economic strife the country experiences over the coming months will simply be used as a battering ram to force through whatever grisly trade deal they cook up with Trump and has band of like-minded nationalist twerps. "All the more reason to vote for this deal, as a matter of the utmost urgency..........", that sort of nonsense. If Labour tries to block it, the government might even be able pin the blame on them yet again.

As long as there's a clock illuminating Number 10, Big Ben bongs and a 50p coin is released, who cares hey? That's what's important.

It's important so Nigel can portray himself as the true Brexiteer - not like those elitist government types.

Not joking here, but I can see the government packing their bags and heading for Switzerland, and saying "don't come crying to us, you know what you voted for".

The brexit loons won't though, they will be like the Nazi fanatics who thought they could still win the war in about March 1945

Any ideas why a chancellor resignation and more public spending pledges cause the Pound to rise?
