Morning all.

This hideous heat.

Just about manageable indoors in the morning but I'm in a puddle of sweat from lunchtime onwards. Ick.

A few begrudgingly put on masks when going into shops here but most know that there'll be no punishment if they don't adhere to it. Very disheartening to see.

As my doorstep finally slips into the shade the thermometer is registering an unhealthy 40c.

I've just cycled home in that, though away from my suntrap front garden the temperature is around 33. Still too bloody hot.

Our local Co-op supermarket recently closed, was re-furbished, and re-opened as a Morrison's . Much better. Always feels like you're buying good fresh gear at Morrison's.
