Morning all.

This hideous heat.

Just about manageable indoors in the morning but I'm in a puddle of sweat from lunchtime onwards. Ick.

A few begrudgingly put on masks when going into shops here but most know that there'll be no punishment if they don't adhere to it. Very disheartening to see.

Now, obviously wherever I am is cool, but even I've taken to sporting a Panama hat.

Plotting a long walk today - it'll either clear my head or fry it.

As my doorstep finally slips into the shade the thermometer is registering an unhealthy 40c.

I've just cycled home in that, though away from my suntrap front garden the temperature is around 33. Still too bloody hot.

Update: The Co-op's being refurbed and re-branded. Will take a week. All jobs safe - which is the least they deserve after their efforts during the last few months.

All a bit mysterious, been bought out by a 'consortium' according to the young lad who served me today.

Our local Co-op supermarket recently closed, was re-furbished, and re-opened as a Morrison's . Much better. Always feels like you're buying good fresh gear at Morrison's.
