Wotcha.

Feeling a tad better today - had a food delivery, in fact we're now good until mid-May. Can't decide whether or not to put in a meat order, or go veggie.

We've devolved to Victorian/Edwardian practice - I send my order and the greengrocer or butcher delivers. I wouldn't mind if that carried on after this is all over. But I do realise that the process requires cash reserves (largeish minimum orders) that would cripple some.

Family all well, friend's grandson had it and he's getting better, his family are isolated. A bit worried as his mother is a cancer survivor.

Stick with it, compadres.

Just looking forward to the weekly 8pm clap. It's becoming the highlight of my feckin week. :|
Dr McCoy is now heading a supra-national NHS task force.
This after 3 days of lengthy and exhausting conference calls and not a few collegues nearing the end of their tether.

She has announced that she will attend the 20:00 clap.
The tiny goblin and I are determined to make it louder than Boris's Tuesday one.

Good morning. Cyclist reporting for duty. Though what the hell I'm doing up at this hour on a bank holiday morning is anybody's guess.

I t was very loud here. Not sure I hold with all the forrin' pot banging that went with it, but it certainly put the idiots who got shouted down clapping for Johnson in their place. Yes, very loud indeed. Despite my reservations about enforced jollity, I was quite taken with it.

Agree with the pot-banging. I thought it was my neighbour engaging in some late evening DIY.

Morning all!

In a much better mood today. Getting a welcome break from a few frustrations that wouldn’t abate (eat infection, work etc.) A glorious spring morning has me enjoying the birdsong in a sunny garden, I could be in rural Hampshire rather than inner London

Drafting up a sort of schedule considering we can’t go anywhere. Relaxation day today, lots of lounging about in the sun then we will do some spa pampering this arvo before I make the marinades for the post Easter egg hunt BBQ tomorrow.

Think I’ll only pop on in the morning and evening, a break from screens will do me much good. Now if you’ll excuse me I have to go chase after the cat who has just escaped over the fence :grimacing:

Morning Boiler, morning everybody.

Beautiful start to the day, sun and birdsong.

Today I'm planning to sort out the freezers. Beyond that, not much. Still obsessed with food deliveries...

Just off to check round the family. Have a good, healthy day, everybody.

And groove on you modellers!

No pot banging last night in our neck of the woods but some bugger was doing that fingers in mouth whistle thing that annoys the hell out of me because (a) it's loud and (b) I can't do it to save my life.

MrsT is working (hospital) and I'm on Child Watch.

Fortunately a good friend in Somerset sent me a gallon of farm cider, 6.5% falling over juice.

Morning All

Loughborough calling the far away towns!

Not a lot happening here, both Mrs Watch and I have so far not displayed any symptoms, and not aware of any cases. Checked on the OAP's close by and they are being very sensible, children and grandchildren keeping close eye on them. I go out for the occasional supermarket trip, Morrisons is the worse as of all the local supermarkets it is the only one with a distinct demographic of Mail/Sun readers age 70+, and they just wander the aisles as if its a normal shop

Mrs Watch working from home, so the dining room table has been turned into a command centre, when we have a perfectly good desk upstairs....but I can't see the garden from there, is the reply. We live opposite a church and primary school, miss hearing the noise of the children but not the pick-up/drop-off cretinous parking. One of my run routes (a 4 miler that I use as benchmark and for speed work) takes me through the university, now that is eerie with absolutely no students around, or any sense of activity.

On the family front; up in Birkdale, daughter and son in law working from home. They split when each is working as their real challenge is entertaining an energetic and inquisitive 14 month old. Very different in Streatham; son and fiancee very strict in self isolation with only son using kitchen. He is secondary type 1 (secondary in that it is a result of having pancreatitis when he was 17 as opposed to due to lifestyle) and fiancee is a specialist cancer nurse at Royal Marsden, so she has a caseload of those and some with both cancer and covid. They eventually got PPE but it is not very well managed and some is not suitable, also only been testing those staff that display symptoms as opposed to everyone, but hopes they will start that soon. So pretty churned up when she gets home and can't have a hug.........but as she says compared to what she's seen that is nothing

Hope you all keep safe and well

I discovered last night that the church clock hasn't yet been changed to BST from GMT, meaning 11 times out of 12 you need to add an extra "BONG"
'Incomers' had the strikes on ours silenced. :(
