Journalists. Scum of the earth, just like bankers, lawyers and frequently, social workers.

Any time the story involves kids and their possible or actual 'removal' from their families, on whatever grounds, you can be absolutely 110% certain there is a LOT more to it than the Mail lets on. And you can also be sure, as is the Mail, that we will never hear the other side of the story. Ergo it can be massaged into fodder for the hard of understanding.Something tells me there more to this than the Mail's letting on.
The quota of taking kids into care.Disgusting - sounds like the council has already irreparably damaged this family and is intent on finishing the job. Trying to meet their quotas no doubt.

You can never hear the other side of the story; social services are not allowed to tell it, and unlike the Mail they tend to take the confidentiality of their clients seriously. The Mail can't lose...glasgowgril wrote:Any time the story involves kids and their possible or actual 'removal' from their families, on whatever grounds, you can be absolutely 110% certain there is a LOT more to it than the Mail lets on. I thought I recognised that picture.Dacre Bleugh wrote:http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... fears.html
Whoops! Either social services or the Mail are not being very consistent here. I know who my money's on.
Yeah, those vans have a maximum axle loading...Tubby Isaacs wrote:It would seem to be unlikely that the kids are being taken away forever, for a start.

Hmm. A recording, eh? And yes, the people who deal with societies problems don't give a fuck about people, do they?I'm surprised he wasn't promoted. Abuse of the Human Rights of others appears to be a trait in that profession. I have a digital recording of a Social Services manager in a Stage 3 complaint meeting claiming that the Social Services do not have to obey the Human Rights Acts. Strange but true.

Classic Mailite thinking. Let's deal with barbarism with extreme barbarism. That is one of the reasons why torture and capital punishment should be brought back. He should be tortured the same way and 3 times harder for the next 10 years!

Ignoring Holden's shite grasp of empathy and identification it is good to know that he has the solution. Stop training professionals (who are already entitled to the job by dint of being screwed up anyway) and go back to good old common sense. He didn't get to be both living in Thailand and harbouring a grudge against social workers without learning a thing or two along the way you know. That is how social services recruit, through the personal problems their own staff have faced. Lindsay had been abused as a child, therefore that would entitle him to a job of social worker youth worker, no question of how screwed up he may be. In social service senior management eyes his own experiences give him a right for a job with them as often the managers don't have a clue about social work, they just like the attendingt meetings to arrange meetings with very little work done by themselves. A radical change is needed to ensure so called social workers UNDERSTAND about people's needs and NOT this ridiculous university training where you need to express your feelings about your own problems, whereby you are taught that through those feelings you can understand the problems of the community at large, they need training IN THE UNIVERSITY OF LIFE, this needs to happen soon.

Jumping on people can be desirable. At least he will get an undersstanding of what it feels like to be a victim stamped on and bullied for the next nine years.
