Buggered if I know. I have checked and triple-checked the code, and my iPad is behaving correctly on both Chrome and Safari. On my droid phone, though, I have had to manually delete the cache and restart the app.

I use an app called Protopage which gives me a GUI for all my regular sites. It's very handy, but now all my passwords and log-in details have gone. That's the trouble with MacOS, it's all or nothing.

That sounds like the Speed Dial page in the Opera browser, Malc?

Having recently bought a swish new phone I thought I'd try Firefox on it as it wasn't too good on my old Samsung - but a few minutes with it convinced me to go with Opera again on it. The built-in adblocker is a boon on some sites I frequent. Mailwatch sits on the Speed Dial page.

Ah, I see. Oddly enough, a mate of mine wrote his own 'home page' in HTML5 that does a similar thing, but is basic links.

Opera's Speed Dial looks like this:

It's not fully populated yet - I'm yet to dive into my old phone and find where Opera hides things like this and the bookmarks and I'm reluctant to open an Opera account that would let me sync devices.

Errr.... Kadir-Buxton, Malc?
