Couldn't have been as the names alternate boy/girl.
Are they not? Unless Siorise is pronounced Derrick or some such.

This year the first storm will be ‘male’ and named Ali, while the second storm will be ‘female’ and named Bronagh, following the alternating male/female pattern established by the US National Hurricane Center in the 1970’s.
And it's between Ross and Tristan?

Like- Ali's Tartan Army.

I'm waiting for Higgins, and hoping it isn't a simple tropical storm.

Vegetarian GCSE student 16, is disqualified for 'obscene racial comments' because she criticised halal meat in Religious Studies exam
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/articl ... -exam.html
On the subject of halal butchers, the student had written, '...which I find absolutely disgusting.'
I see this issue has raised it's head again. Rewind a few years and the main argument the right were pushing against halal was on the grounds of cruelty to animals. Perhaps if she had qualified her statement with the words "as a vegetarian" she might not have found herself landed in hot water.

One of the commentators btl makes the point that exams are not social media, and the candidate should not be expressing personal feelings.
That said, she should have qualified her comment, but the assessor needs the thistle removed from their arse.

Always funny seeing Halal related tantrums from knuckle draggers:

Some of the replies will almost certainly result in a face palm, too.

If there is a large closedown of KFC outlets in the UK any time soon, let's hope the 999 operators are informed in advance.
